Our tipi villages on the Lahn
You like to sleep like an Indian during your canoe tour?
Lid a campfire in front of an original Indian tipi and retreat after a wonderful evening into this extraordinary and cosy dwelling? Enjoy this highlight in Solms-Scholeck or in Runkel right at the river banks in our Indian tipi villages. We do have different tipi sizes for your convenience. The tipi is the legendary tent of the native North-Americans and has a 6m to 9m diameter. The up to 10m high tents offer room for up to 6 people for the night. You can hire a tipi with a minimum of 4 people in your group.
The great thing about them is that they are very resident against the elements, well vented and on top they offer plenty of space, so that it is no problem to lid a cosy fire inside. The somewhat different accommodation for your company outing or a canoe tour with friends and family. Combine your next tour with a stay in a original Indian tipi and follow in the foot steps of the native North-Americans. We recommend you make a reservation as early as possible due to their high demand.

Lahntours campsite in Runkel
Our Lahntours campsite is directly situated at the Lahn in the quaint town Runkel between the Westerwald and the Taunus (big state forests). The nearby cities Limburg and Weilburg with their historic city centres are also worth a visit, as well as you should not miss the castle in Runkel.
The campsite features a big area with a original Indian tipi village. There are tipis for 6 people available. So that you can enjoy a proper campfire atmosphere the campground sells firewood for the many fire pits scattered around. Our little guests can burn some extra energy on the integrated playground.
In the winter of 2016/2017, a comprehensive renovation of the sanitary facilities was implemented. Thanks to the modernization measure, we can offer our guests a completely modern campsite with contemporary furnishings: in addition to the complete renovation of the sanitary facilities and the construction of a barrier-free (fully accessible) facility, all showers and sinks have hot water because of to the installation of a modern gas boiler for environmentally friendly hot water. With the optimization of the room layout, we were able to create a new scullery and a new disposal station for camping toilets for our guests. Not only new premises and a new kitchen and storage room for the bistro were built, also a renovation of the entire sewer system and the power system could be successfully carried out.
Amuni (Pasta, Pizza & Vino) provides original Italian cuisine. You rather take care of the food yourself? No problem, the local supermarket is only a short 2 minutes walk away. You like to keep some comfort? On request we can provide you with a table set or charcoal grill.

Lahntours campsite in Solms-Schohleck
Our campsite Schohleck is located between the Goethe city Wetzlar and the residence city Weilburg in Solms directly at the banks of the Lahn. At the nearby hils you find the well known climatic spa Braunfels with its picturesque castle, which is definitely worth a visit.
The campsite is the ideal start or end point for your canoe tour, however it is also a great location to just stay the night on your tour. The big undeveloped grass area offers especially school classes and youth groups many opportunities. Additionally there is a original Indian tipi village, where you can spend the night. The Tipis have space for up to 6 people. You can hire a canoe here, as well as a bicycle to discover the surroundings.
